More people are now becoming tea drinkers because of the numerous health benefits of tea.  Varieties of tea are also available from green to black and even white.  This white tea is lighter than most tea leaves because it goes through the least amount of processing, preserving much of its flavor and nutrients.

Whilst many people are aware of green tea for it’s range of benefits, including helping with weight loss and also black tea and all it’s health benefits, white tea seems to have gone under the radar…. Until now -Let’s have a look at the top benefits of drinking white tea!

1. It’s significantly rich in antioxidants

Free radicals are responsible for many of the accumulated damages sustained by our bodies.  Antioxidants combat the effects of these free radicals, protect the body and its organs and help it heal.  Studies show that white tea contains even more antioxidants than green tea, making it highly effective for shielding and nourishing the body’s organs and boosting your immune system.

2. It makes your skin healthier

Thanks to the antioxidants in white tea, your skin also becomes healthier.  Old and damaged skin is shed more easily and replaced by new skin cells.  The body’s organs and systems are detoxified and cleansed of contaminants that affect your skin as well.  In addition to that, these antioxidants help the skin fortify itself against further damage from aging and sun exposure.

Initial research findings show that white tea, similar to other kinds of tea, also lowers the risk of developing some kinds of cancer.  This is likely because of the high antioxidant content of white tea which combats free radical damage, one of the causes of the growth of cancerous cells.
