    Juicing For Weight Loss: 10 Juices That Can Help You Lose Weight

    Many survey reports show how obesity is a major reason behind sleeping disorders. Therefore the need for healthy, calorie free foods and drinks, that keep you active and energised the entire day, is important.

    Check out these juicing recipes that can help you lose weight:

    Mean Green Toxic Flusher:

    As the name suggests, it cleanses the blood flushing away the toxins. Cucumber, parsley and kale are high on water content and can improve the assimilation and digestion of food. Rich in vitamins A, B, C and K, this juice is one great immunity booster. Tasty and nutritious, the Mean green toxic flusher has a cucumber and apple base that gives it the unique sweet flavour

    • 2-3 kale leaves
    • A bunch of parsley
    • Half a lemon
    • 1 medium size cucumber
    • 1 medium size Fuji apple

    This light green coloured mixture mainly comprises of spinach, a green leafy vegetable replete with a wide number of minerals and vitamins.     • 1 medium size apple
    • 2-3 bunches of spinach (can vary according to taste)
    • ½ a lemon
    • A 1-2 inch long peeled ginger root

    Cut the spinach and apple for easy blending, add the ginger and lemon afterwards.

    The Green Diuretic:

    With a cucumber and celery base, this juice with its rich water content is ideal for summers. Although cucumbers are not just fleshy vegetables, this diuretic veggie can reduce inflammation and balance high blood pressure. Add some spinach and green apples to this mixture for extra nutritional value. You can even add some carrots for extra taste.

    • 1 medium size cucumber
    • 2-3 stalks of celery
    • 1 carrot
    • 1 green apple
    • Some spinach bunches

    Juice the green apple first, followed by the spinach, cucumber, celery and then carrots. Keep the concoction chunky and pulpy.

    The spinach Swiss chard juice:

    A great source of phytonutrients, the spinach Swiss chard fights cholesterol, strengthens the bones and reduces the free radicals in our body. This drink is also replete with omega 3 fatty acid and number of antioxidants to purify the body from the toxic wastes. The omega 3 fatty acid helps reduce obesity. Low on sugar and calories, this is a great post work out drink.

    • 2-3 Swiss chard leaves
    • 1 large size cucumber
    • 1 medium sized romaine lettuce
    • 1 medium Fuji apple
    • 1 ginger
    • 1 orange (optional)

    Very easy to juice, the Swiss chard leaves can be rolled up and put in the blender, after that add ginger, apple and romaine lettuce head. You can add orange as a natural sweetener.

    Bitter fruit juices:

    Not all fruits are sweet and have high fructose content. Low sugar content means low calories. All the fruits used in the juice such as pink grapefruit, lime, pure cranberries help fight obesity. Also grapefruit reduces the insulin content in the body. Since this juice can prove to be bitter, it is best that you drink it on an empty stomach.

    • 2 pink grapefruits
    • 1 lime
    • A cup of pure unsweetened cranberries
    • 2 inch piece of ginger (optional)
    • 1 medium size cucumber

    First tackle the grapefruit and lime juice, then add some ginger, cucumber and some apple to enhance the taste.

    Avocado smoothie

    Avocado is a tough fruit to juice; the most we can make out of it is a smoothie. Also it is best that you consume it before breakfast as it is very heavy and filling, enough to keep you going all day long. It also contains pineapple that mainly acts as a sweetener agent. With an avocado and pear base and pineapple flavouring, it is a pretty good solution for weight loss.

    • ½ pineapple
    • 1 pear
    • 1 avocado
    • 2 bunches of spinach
    • 1 cucumber
    • 4 celery stalks

    Juice the pineapple, spinach, celery and cucumber separately, then chop the avocado and add the soft flesh to the mixture. Blend and drink immediately

    Red velvet juice:

    Up until now you had known about recipes that included only organic fruits and vegetables; this drink includes an extra ingredient- protein powder. The beetroot and cucumber base along with protein powder works wonders for your body. It helps in both weight loss or muscle growth.

    • 1 medium size beetroot
    • 1 medium cucumber
    • 2-3 tsp of protein powder

    Juice the beet and cucumber then add the protein powder. Drink immediately.

    Green Chia:

    Collards greens are high on minerals, antioxidants and proteins great for our immunity and overall physical health. Rich in phytonutrients, it flushes out the toxic wastes of the body, while the vitamin K and omega 3 fatty acids fight inflammation and obesity

    • 2-3 collard greens
    • 1 cucumber
    • ½ lime
    • 1-2 Fuji apples
    • 1 romaine lettuce head
    • 1 tsp of chia seeds

    Blend in everything and add the seeds in the end

    Red cabbage flax

    Rich in vitamins A, C K and folate, red cabbage is low on calories and thus a perfect juicing option for weight loss. But the very unpleasant smell and flavour of the vegetable make it a very unpopular choice. Adding flaxseed to the juice might make it more palatable.

    • 1 medium cabbage
    • 1 cucumber
    • ½ lemon
    • 1 tsp flaxseed
    • 1 green apple

    Blend the cabbage, cucumber and apple, add the flaxseed in the end.

    Bell pepper and apple smoothie

    Red bell peppers are spicy and rich in capsaicin; this increases the body temperature and speeds up the metabolism. A very effective weight loss solution, this smoothie also has apples, a fruit low on calorie and high on fibre, it keeps the cholesterol in check.

    • 1 red bell pepper
    • 1 apple
    • 1 tsp lemon juice
    • Chop the ingredients and blend them, add lemon juice and water accordingly.

    The bottom line:

    Refreshing and yummy, fresh fruits and veggies keep you strong and healthy.
