By Holly / February 6, 2018

Losing 3 pounds in 2 days is definitely achievable. There are many possible reasons why you will want to lose weight quickly. Whatever your reason is, it is time to start your two-day weight loss journey right now. You want to fully commit yourself into this weight loss plan in order to successfully drop the unwanted pounds in just two days. Here are useful tips to keep in mind:

How To Lose 3 Pounds In 2 Days

Cut your calorie intake

The unwanted pounds will only come off when you cut your calorie consumption. Since you only have two days to drop the weight, you want to cut your consumption to 1,000 to 1,500 calories a day. It will help you shed the weight as planned. You should, however, avoid dipping further below 1,000 calories due to nutritional reasons and sending your body into starvation mode (where it slows your metabolism right down).

Drink only water

Ditch the flavored beverages and stick to drinking only water. Sugary beverages will only add more calories into your diet. They do not even have the nutrition that you need to stay healthy. Make sure to drink at least two liters of water a day. When you do not drink enough water, your body will reserve every drop of water to stay hydrated, causing you to bloat. Staying well-hydrated can also help you achieve a flatter stomach.

Avoid salty foods

Eating too much salty food will force your body to keep as much water as it can to process the added salt you consume. When you consume too much sodium, your body will retain water and cause you to bloat. There are two ways to flush out the excess sodium and water weight: sweat it out or drink plenty of fluids. Wear sweatshirts or any warm clothing to boost your sweat, or sit in a steam room for several minutes. However, nothing beats drinking plenty of water to flush out the excess sodium in your body.

Eat nutritious low-calorie foods

Eat foods that are low in calories, but high in nutritional value. Your two-day extreme diet must consist of mostly lean proteins and vegetables. There should be plenty of greens in your meals, as well as lean meats, like turkey breast, skinless chicken breast, and fish. Nonfat dairy, whole grains, and fruits should be part of your diet, too.

60 minutes of cardio per day

Spend two hours a day in cardio workouts, so you will torch plenty of calories. You can also split the two-hour exercise into two one-hour intervals. Your exercises must involve high-intensity activities, such as cycling, circuit training, swimming, running, and the like.
