10 Best Coffee Machines For 2016

I am a fan of a cup of brewed coffee, not the powdered kind. Not the premixed instant coffees that you get from sachets. A warm cup of brewed coffee is always the best way you start your day. I hate however, having to brew. A lot of these coffeemakers in the market look like these alien machineries built to clone your pet cat. As if the process of brewing isn’t complicated enough. If your buy your beans whole, you need a grinder, of course there’s the coffee maker, with all these moving parts. Another thing is you have to change filters. This is why I’d rather still go to a coffee shop and trust the coffee making to a barista than myself.

A few things you should consider when buying your own coffee maker. There are coffeemakers designed for making several cups of coffee, and single cup coffeemakers, if you live alone. You don’t want to own a huge-ass coffeemaker with no one to make coffee for. That’s only the logical side. Going technical, decide for yourself what kind of coffee you want to enjoy for home consumption. If you’re as picky as I am when it comes to how your coffee is, there are different coffee makers that work a little differently than others.

The way your coffee is brewed will definitely determine the taste and the feel of your favorite cup. What you see most commonly is the Automatic Drip Coffee Maker. The basic tank, filter, carafe are parts you will commonly see in these types of coffee makers. Water is heated in the tank to near-boiling, and is poured over the beans, where the filter is , the drip is then collected in the carafe. A second type of coffee maker is the Thermal Type Coffee Maker. The main difference is the thermal carafe keeping the coffee temperature best for consumption. Single cup coffee makers, as the name suggests are designed to make quick cups of coffee one cup at a time.

Espresso Machines have classes of their own. They are used to make great espressos, cappuccinos, and lattes. That is why this is what greets you at the counter of your favorite coffee shop. Percolator Coffee machines provide you an old way of brewing coffee, usually using gravity. The beans are boiled over and over again until you get the right flavor, and usually enhances the aroma by removing  volatile substance in the process. Lastly, the French press, where percolators use heat and gravity to brew the perfect cup, the French press will use pressure. Because the pressure is applied on the beans, it does not use filters, and the filtering is done before you pour the coffee into the cup.

Now that you have a bit of know how on how these machines work, the next thing to answer is, where are you going to use it for? Is it for office or home use? Is it big bulky and complicated? Does it use up a lot of energy? Can it brew coffee in a flash? Do you plan on brewing heaps of coffee for a larger number of people, or are you just enjoying the cup for yourself? Priorities matter, after all, some of these machines don’t come cheap. Can I also add that some coffee machines have built in grinders, so look out for these machines, as they can save you a lot getting a coffee been grinder as well.

Without further ado, here are 10 of the best coffee machines there are in the market today.

The design is sleek and classy, but it does not stop there; make quick excellent cups of coffee with this topnotch machine.

    1. Hamilton Beach 12-Cup 48464 Brewstation Summit Dispensing Coffee Machine

I would call it an internal carafe, this machine does not have a physical carafe, but the brewed coffee is stored internally, and that means the machine also heats it up as if you do have a thermal carafe.
